- I was Beauty's Mom. I adopted her from the CBER feedlot in WA state in September, 2006, when she was just an unbroke two year old. She turned out to be the nicest, calmest horse I had, and I had 5 at the time she died on June 25, 2009 because of a STUPID, STUPID, STUPID accident. Apparently she got cast in her corral, struggled to get up, and hit her head on one of the metal railings and that was it. She died instantly. Beauty was a "throwaway", a horse on a slaughter-bound feedlot that nobody wanted. Well, I wanted her! She turned out to be a very loving mare. I miss her deeply. Her death was devastating to me and my family as we ALL LOVED HER.
